About Us
My primary purpose in writing poetry is two-fold.
First, I need to record my own thoughts and the rhythm and rhyme that permeates my thoughts and allows me to express my feelings.
Secondly, I want to use my books as a gentle bully pulpit to sway the readers from our savage animal past, into a pathway that better reflects what most of us aspire toward: a future where-in violence is subjugated to feelings of brotherhood.
I hope to be
able to influence the political, economic, and philosophical thinking
of our country. As time permits, I hope to outline what I believe to be
policies that will help the citizenry, the states of this nation, the
nation, and the world to become a fairer place to find justice, freedom
and the material where-withal to further the cause of civilization.

It is a pleasure to
write a bit about “Easy” (James Walter Orr), who aptly describes himself as “I hope to be
able to influence the political, economic, and philosophical thinking
of our country. As time permits, I hope to outline what I believe to be
policies that will help the citizenry, the states of this nation, the
nation, and the world to become a fairer place to find justice, freedom
and the material where-withal to further the cause of civilization”.
I have known him over last 3-4 years through the medium of the writing
community known as writing.com, where both he and I, along with 45000
more, are co-authors.
I have been impressed by his ability to express well through poetry
written in proper rhyme and meter, which, in my personal view, is the
best form of poetry. That he excels in this form is clear from the fact
that in the first 18 rounds of my "POETRY IN RHYME - RHYTHM CONTEST-winner" , he won a prize for 12 of his poems, listed below—
"ODD FELLOW" ,
"SO FAR AWAY" ,
"ACHING IN ACROSTIC FORMAT" ,
"THE NATURE OF LOVE" ,
"THE PARASITES" ,
"ACROSS THE YEARS" ,
"TO EACH, ITS TIME" ,
"FOREVER, NOTHING GROWS" ,
"HE DELAYS NOT HIS COMING" ,
"REINCARNATION" ,
"JUST ONE MORE TIME" ,
"ONE MIGHT HAVE SAID" ,
The last of the above was in March 2007. Then he got too busy with his
book to be able to find time for my contest. I am sure some of the
above winners would have found a place in his books.

Testimonials
True to his name, Easy Seeker (James Walter Orr) has an
easy way with words, especially poetically speaking. He
can take a subject and breathe life into it simply by
choosing his words skillfully and effectively. He can make
the reader burst forth in laughter, or sob and weep with
tears. His poetry comes alive in the hand, is absorbed by
the eye, and lingers in the mind like a long-lost friend in
such a way as to make the reader nod her head in
recognition and understanding. He can make the most
mundane feeling evolve into something significant,
planting it tenderly in the reader’s heart, where it grows
into something life changing and, everlasting. Either way, whether he uses a pelting of laughter, or a spatter of tears, this writer will move you. Easily. Cathe, Brisbane, Australia

Message: Easy
aka James Walter Orr is one of my favorite home-grown poets. I have a
string of those, with perhaps Robert Frost being the one who comes most
easily to the mind as one others would know. Poetry that flows directly
from the mind to the pen is often refreshing and sensitive, but the
type of poetry I am speaking of as home-grown is the type that flows
from the mind through the heart, tempered with wit and intellect, to
the pen. It flows from one person to another, touching special parts of
life experiences and feelings that you might think were unique to your
own life. Open up these books, take a step into another person's life and find a touch of your own emotions there. You will find a new favorite, I have found a great friend as well. Sincerely, Denise Bartlett; Manchaca, TX USA
